Video: How to use Point of Parliamentary Inquiry and Request for Information

In Robert’s Rules of Order there are two different motions that a any member can use to help keep the meeting on track and running smoothly. Those motions are: “point of parliamentary inquiry" and “point of information" (which was recently changed to “request for information" in the 11th edition of Robert’s Rules of Order-Newly Revised).

It is crucial that all members understand how to use these two motions because they were created to help a member who is lost to get back on track or request relevant or needed information so that a proper vote can be taken.

In this video Susan Leahy MA the creator of Robert’s Rules Made Simple talks with Professional Registered Parliamentarian Lorenzo Cuesta PRP all about how to properly make a “point of parliamentary inquiry" and how to properly make a “request for Information".

Happy Meetings!
